Canonflex Lens
Canon 58mm f1.2 Super-Canomatic R

|
The high speed 58mm f1.2 Super-Canomatic R lens is rather uncommon. It was introduced in February of 1962, two months before the release of the Canonflex RM. Most photographers of the day were reluctant to spend 39,000 yen vs. 18,500 for the standard 50mm f1.8 lens most commonly found on Canonflex cameras. It remains to this day one of the fastest lenses ever produced for a single lens reflex camera. It is displayed here with its proper front lens cap. |
